Finding Monetizable Keywords with the Ahrefs “Having Same Terms” Tool [Video]

Monday, December 28, 2020

In this video, I cover how to find transactional keywords to target with the Ahrefs “Having Same Terms” tool.

Since we covered transactional and information search intent last week (video here), this video shows you how to find these monetizable keywords with Ahrefs so that you can plan your blog’s content calendar.

  1. Thank you for making this video!!! I’ve been using aHrefs but it can be overwhelming to look at all the different reports and know how to apply things. This video really helped clarify the Having Same Terms function and it was great to listen and watch how you walk through this part of your research process. Looking forward to the next one!! πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Adam

Having already got your course previously (very good btw) it’s nice to see you in the flesh.

I looked at Ahrefs before and didn’t go for it at the time due to the cost.

You’ve managed to change my mind.

    Go well

    Danny

  4. Thank You Adam.
This really is an interesting way to go deeper in the niche with the “having similar term” option. Makes it a whole lot easier to decide what you could be writing the next couple of months.
When you are a newbie any number of low-lying fruit (traffic) helps and you just showed how to get inside a fruit garden.
Would definitely check on this from HREFs.

    Have a great year ahead!

  5. Hi Adam,
Thanks for this informative video. It has been extremely welcomed as I am preparing to look for the keywords in my chosen niche on Ahrefs. Such a fantastic tool and you have helped me understand how to best use it.
I look forward to what is next.
    Happy New Year!!! πŸ₯³πŸ₯‚

  6. Thanks, Adam, Great content and eye-opening. I have been stuck for a couple of weeks now after my first post as I now know that I have been focusing a lot more on informational posts. Can’t wait for your course to kick off. Blessed!!!

  7. Hi Adam,

thanks for the content. I have two questions.

    1. I saw that your website had a huge traffic drop. What do you think it is? Was it a Google update?

    2. Why do you use wistia for your videos and not youtube. Can you tell me the advantages of this software?

    Many Thanks
    Noah

    1. Hey Noah – If you’re referring to Ahrefs, those numbers are not accurate (and never 100% accurate). I did see about a 15-20% drop overall in December due to both seasonality (less people search for online business-related topics around the holidays) and the Google Core Algorithm update. I saw that update reward a lot of older, high DR (90+) sites. I’m not concerned though as traffic is still up like 300% YoY.

I’m using Wistia right now because I don’t want these videos to be available on YouTube yet – the quality isn’t quite good enough and I’m going to have a studio and all of the equipment set up in about 4-6 weeks. Overall, sites like Vimeo and Wistia look a little nicer on websites than YouTube.

  8. Thanks Adam for sharing this. I just purchased Ahrefs subscription yesterday and I’m super overwhelmed about keyword research. This is the perfect time. Thanks a lot!

  9. Thanks, Adam I have Good luck to Watch this video Right time, Actually last couple of days I was so confused about how & where to start keyword research with Profitable Niche.
